Detroit wedding photography telling the story of one of the most intimate days of your life with the sincerity and style you long for.
You’re probably already imagining what your special day is going to be like. The air filled with lilacs and laughter. Your grandparents swaying gently to Etta James’ “At Last.” The love of your life’s mile-wide grin when they see you for the first time on the day you say, “I do.”
But you also believe your wedding day is about so much more than a one-day event. You see it as the day you begin a thrilling new adventure together as husband and wife. You’ve envisioned a whole life ahead filled with spontaneous road trips, weekend family brunches, classic movie marathons, and someday, tiny baby feet.
And through it all, I’d love for my photography to be the art that decorates your home and tells the story of the day it all began.
It wasn’t of the bridal party getting ready, my walk down the aisle, or even our first look—although all those moments are ones I look back on and cherish, too.
My favorite photo is actually a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, seemingly insignificant moment my photographer brother-in-law caught while my brand new husband and I waited in the receiving line. We were about to kiss, and I leaned in, eyes closed. But in the split second before he kissed me, my husband looked down at me with such love it honestly still brings tears to my eyes. Even after 15 years of marriage, my husband still does this, and it just feels so totally “him.” Like a signature piece of who he is and how we love each other.
These are the moments I love to document. The ones that others might miss, showing the strength and uniqueness of the unbreakable bond between a couple, their family, and their friends who feel like family. I believe this is what a wedding day is truly all about, and I love preserving everything that feels special—that feels so very “you”—on the most beautiful day of your life.
I can’t wait to get to know you better, learn what little things mean the world to you, and document them all, giving you a Detroit wedding photography experience like no other.
"From our first meeting, to our engagement session, and finally our wedding, Penny made us feel at ease both behind and in front of the camera. Her attention to detail and experience was really helpful when putting together a timeline. I was able to be present and enjoy my wedding day because I knew we were in good hands."
Let’s trade quotes from The Office and travel stories while creating a wedding photography experience you’ll feel as nostalgic for someday as your wedding itself! I know it sounds impossible, but by placing emphasis on what matters most to you and guiding you through with expert prompts, you can enjoy your time in front of the camera just as much as you do your time out on the dance floor.
